BUILDING PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE

ARTICLE I MICHIGAN RESIDENTIAL CODE

 

SECTION 1.  Administrative Fee
Minimum $50-$150 maximum or 20% of total plan review fees
 Re-inspection Fee $50.00
SECTION 2.  Plan Review - All New Construction
New 1 & 2 Family Dwellings - includes the first 1,000 sq. ft. of floor area (including basements, garages, pole barns, decks, porches, etc.) $25
Each additional 500 square feet or faction thereof ($0.02 per sq. ft.) $15.00
SECTION 3.  Dwellings, Additions, Alterations & Pre-Manufactured Homes
Zoning Approval Fee $20.00
Accessory Buildings, Decks, and Additions $20.00
New Dwellings $20.00
Visit required to verify applicants drawing (if needed) $20.00
Inspection Fee per 100 sq. ft. (Minimum $50 per inspection) $15.00
Pre-manufactured homes per 100 sq. ft. ($75.00 minimum $5.00
SECTION 4.  Pre-Manufactured/Sate Approved Structures in Mobile Home Parks
Site Plan Review (compliance with mobile home commission rules required $25.00
Inspection Fee ( existing foundation with tie-down inspection) $50.00
Inspection Fee (new foundation with tie-down inspection) $100.00
Inspection Fee (for garages, decks, 7 porches) $100.00
SECTION 5.  Garages, Decks, Porches, Sheds, and Polebarns
Zoning Approval Fee $20.00
Visit required to verify applicant's drawing (if needed) $20.00
Inspection Fee (0 to 600 sq. ft.) $100.00
Inspection Fee - per additional 100 sq. ft. $15.00
SECTION 6.  Fencing Over 6' High and Fence (barriers) for pools - When not included in SECTION 9

SECTION 7.  Razing, Demolition or Removal of a Building
Without Basement $50.00
With Basement $100.00
SECTION 8.  Relocation of Structures
 Zoning Approval Fee $20.00
Inspection Fee (Dwellings and Accessory Buildings over 200 sq. ft.) $50.00
SECTION 9.  Swimming Pools, Spas, & Hot Tubs (over 24 inches in depth)
INCLUDES Fence (if part of same application for pool)

SECTION 10.  Safety, Pre-Sale & Additional Inspections
Inspection Fee per hour ($50.00 minimum) $50.00
SECTION 11.  Masonry Chimney/Fireplace
Inspection Fee (includes two required inspections) $100.00
SECTION 12.  Construction/Alteration Started Prior to Application for Permit (applies to residential and commercial projects)
Investigation Fee/Regular Fee $50.00

ANY PERMIT ISSUED SHALL BECOME INVALID IF THE WORK IS NOT BEGUN WITHIN SIX (6) MONTHS AFTER ISSUANCE OF THE PERMIT OR IF THE WORK IS SUSPENDED OR ABANDONED FOR A PERIOD OF SIX (6) MONTHS AFTER TIME OF COMMENCING THE WORK. NO FEE SHALL BE WAIVED, OR MODIFIED EXCEPT BY ACTION OF THE TOWNSHIP BOARD OF TRUSTEES AT A REGULAR OR SPECIAL MEETING AT WHICH THE REQUEST FOR A WAIVER OR MODIFICATION APPEARS ON THE AGENDA.

 

ARTICLE II MICHIGAN BUILDING CODE
